Amazon tracking says it was delivered but not received.
Anyone any experience of this.
Amazon deliveries to us now say they don’t knock just leave. Great! How long does it take to knock on the door if dropping it there, even if they don’t wait for you to open it! Give us a clue it’s even there at least! We were due a delivery yesterday. First said 12:45 to 2:45. That came and went and then said due before 16:45. Then said due by 22:00. Got email around 17:00 to say delivered. They don’t knock so went outside and no parcel. Their website says to follow up with the delivery company, but the tracking doesn’t say who it was supposed to be delivered by. Also the tracking says it was handed to householder! Which it wasn’t and they don’t do here, just leave on the doorstep without knocking. Their website says wait until end of day Tuesday as it may still be delivered. Is it easy to claim for a non delivery of an item from Amazon if their tracking says it was delivered? |

This happened to me, I contacted Amazon, had to wait a couple of days to make sure ‘it didn’t turn up’ or that a neighbour had it then they refunded me.

My son’s Xbox for Christmas was “delivered”. It wasn’t. This was a good few years ago now before they sent you a code. Don’t ever say to leave it with a neighbour either as they’ll just claim they left it there. Amazon were great. Sent out a brand new one the next day. Good luck.

I have at least 10 deliveries a week as I also get my Sons stuff who puts my address on his account.
I can count on one hand the number of issues I have had in the last 10 years but do accept that is because we have great delivery Guys. Any issue I go straight on chat with Amazon and they resolve it immediately. I don't deal with delivery firms as they aren't my problem. My view is it's not here so send me another item. Never ever nominate a neighbour or a 'safe place' Thats a get out of jail card to delivery firms.

Don’t have leave with anyone else as an alternative. So they can’t use that as a get out.
Don’t understand why they can’t knock as they supposedly leave it. How long does that take! |

I know all our Guys and in fact one worked for me 20 years ago!
All of them put the stuff in the Porch, ring the bell and by the time I am at the door they are in their Van so I wave at them. Not the same everywhere though but my lot are awesome.

I've never had a problem with our amazon deliveries but Hermes! They are a different kettle of fish 😠 always late, parcels gone missing, delivered to a different address etc etc I should have had a delivery between 5-7pm yesterday, at 6.50 I got a text saying they couldn't deliver my parcel on said day but would "attempt" to deliver within 24hrs! Needless to say I'm still waiting on it. If your parcel had been left on your doorstep the delivery driver should have taken a photo as proof, over the yrs I've had photos text to me of my parcel at the door, don't know who's door it is because it sure wasn't mine. Hope you get it solved soon 👍

That happened to me a couple of weeks ago. I have stuff delivered to my work address. The driver tried to deliver a parcel at lunchtime when we were shut. Sent me an email saying 'handed to resident'. I rang Amazon who said it had been delivered to the address on the order. I said it hadn't as it was lunchtime and the building was locked. There was no way the driver could get in. So they agreed to refund me. An hour later the manager from the pub next door came round - with my parcel! Finding our door locked, the driver had asked them to take it in. But instead of saying left with neighbour or something, he said it had been delivered to me.

I ordered a high value item from Amazon last month. I was sent a code and I had to give that to the driver when he delivered. So driver knocked, asked for the code, then placed the item on the floor near my front door (so we stayed the 2m apart at all times).
