Travel insurance help please

We have just booked our July 218 trip and now looking for travel insurance... which companies are the best? We have one of us with a pre existing condition of high blood pressure but apart from that no problems. Prices seem to vary so much what should we be looking for for and when should we take out insurance?

Look at Martin Lewis website he has good advice and links to policies which are easy to compare.

We have booked with avanti this year, great cover options but last year went with all clear who again offer good cover.

I tend to check for;
Good medical cover
Hurricane / natural disaster cover
End supplier failure (if we have booked diy)

Hope this helps

Who ever you use book it now, as you never know the minute that you will need it
We were all booked for 28 days in Florida March this year and in February I had heart attack, we were insured and all our money was refunded.

Don't want to sound dramatic but do it now, lots of good Insurance companies out there.

I hope that is supposed to say 10 million medical cover. 10k would barely cover a sprained ankle over there.

I have booked with Holiday Extras underwritten by, Allianz. We have a lot of medical needs between us and needed to get something in place. My husband also has high blood pressure among a lot of other medical needs and they worked out the best for us.

We have used LV for several years now. They cover end supply failure as we are always diy.
We have had to make a small claim once for medical appointment and meds, was very easy and straightforward.
