Berlin Welcome card
Hi all
We are first time visitors to Berlin, going 27/11/18-30/11/18. We are staying at the Hotel Berlin Mitte. I was wondering if we needed the welcome card for transport or is a lot of sights walkable. Any hints or tips would be most welcome. I have read Goldia's trip report which was great. TIA Cheryl |

The Berlin Welcome Card is great. It includes transfers from the airport - just make sure you order the right one depending on which airport you fly to as they are in different travel zones.
You can walk a lot but the underground is great for getting round and will save some time and energy and having the card means your travel is included so no messing about trying to buy tickets. There are some things you can't walk to such as the Olympic stadium and Potsdam. I would also recommend the Insider walking tours and dome of these involve using public transport. For me anything else the card gives is a bonus. |
