Dollar and tolls!

So we have got a great price from Andy for November trip and I’ve just remembered I stopped using Dollar many years ago after a hefty charge on my card for tolls ! I realise none of us have obviously been for a while but does anyone know what the current situation is with Dollar and toll charges and if it’s still bad is there a way to get round it thank you xxx

The easiest way to avoid all hire company toll schemes is to collect a Visitor Toll Pass at MCO and use that. Mick did a great thread on it.

Andy has a great up to date table/guide on his website with all the charges for each company. Dollar/thrifty is the worst.

Great advice but this is only if flying into MCO at present not available if flying into other Florida airports such as Melbourne or Tampa. I don’t know about Miami.

All these years I've been posting on car hire threads and recommending Andy I still learn something new every day.

Posting the link official Sunpass website over the years and having to apologise every time for them having the Avis/Budget and maybe the Hertz rates wrong.

Then I find out today that Andy's web site is bang up to date with much better toll information - even though I've linked it on here a hundred times. Sorry Andy.

Hopefully collecting VTP tag next month even though we will have to walk over to side A to collect. Alamo car auto-pilot will struggle having to find the 417 south exit after leaving garage A

Mick

Miami doesn't have the Visitor Toll Pass either.
