Kevin. I haven't but I know some on here have. Before this Covid issue you could get some very cheap rates to get/take cars on 1 way trips so the company could get their vehicles back where they wanted them.

Not now that I've given up driving but often did Saturday hires when we just wanted a car for the day. Commuted to London daily and could get most places without a car, so wasn't worth having one sitting in the garage for the occasional days we'd fancy a drive somewhere.

We are doing 2 x 1 day hire for our trip next year to get us to and from Miami - Orlando.
We’d usually hire a car for the whole trip but with current costs and having to pay to park, it just doesn’t seem worth paying for a car to sit in the resort car park for most of the time.

We’ll be on site at WDW and US so we’ll use on-site transport and Uber if needed

With my experience of 20 hire cars for work this year all "Passat or similar" class. The size variation has been huge and puts me off this idea. I have had everything from Ford Focus, to Mercedes C class estate. Although generally I have been given small/medium suv's like a Qashqai or Sportage. The former being quite small and neither are passat sized on the interior.

In my opinion the average UK SUV is smaller than its car equivalent. Kuga us based on a Focus for example.

One way rentals in the states isn't too bad as yes size varies but they have such huge pools.of cars, normally, that uou get what you have paid for. Well usually.

We've done this for next year (to/from airport) as hire prices at the moment are very high.

Worst case scenario we'll get Uber around Orlando.

We’re doing a same day hire next year to get from Miami to Disney (collecting at 9.30am and dropping off at 3pm) - mainly due to the excessive car hire prices and to avoid paying parking charges at Disney (we’ve also got a 11 day hire after the Disney stay).
