Mr. Tom - Max rings a bell. Does he have a moustache and sound like a stand-up comedian?

The band at Mizners weren't doing jazz, which I would have loved. They were doing Disney classics - Frozen, etc.

As an aside, after Mizners, we went around to the Poly on the monorail. We planned a second visit to Trader Sam's, which had been brilliant the week before. There were no free seats inside, so we sat on the deck. Server came along, and asked what we wanted. The menu had no prices. I asked for a Long Island Iced Tea. She said they didn't do them, only what was on the menu...

I had a fair few LIIT's over the course of the holiday. Restaurants, lounges, pool bars, and Trader Sam's as well, the previous visit. I even knew the trick of asking for a regular one, rather than the Ultimate, where you get standard brands rather than premium (thus saving about $2 per drink). Needless to say, I left in a slight huff. I think I just had a dodgy server.

I like the idea of paying for drinks at the bar to avoid the table serve tip, I assume that this is generally acceptable?

Not wishing to cause offence just wondering!

Fab report too!

You still tip at the bar. No difference be it table or bar.

I have to say, I'm loving the idea of $150 gift card for going to a DVC presentation!

I got a letter delivered to my room a couple of days after arrival. It offered a $100 gift card just to show up and have a quick presentation. I was interested anyway - I'd looked at DVC before, but that was 16 years ago. I called up to book a time on the extension number on the letter, and they said they'd add another $50 gift card, and some free Fastpasses, and the DVC centre was at my resort, so we went along. 30 minutes, no hard sell.

yes but there is a difference in the amount though surely. Unless you tip 18/20% at the bar?
