Uber v's car hire
Hi all
Next year we are staying onsite at Disney French Quarter. Last time we went we hired a car for out stay at universal etc but wondering if uber may be better for us. our plans include volcano bay , universal stay, discovery cove, sea world And a day at the premium outlets. So basically 5 return trips. We wil, use Disney transport for all Disney parks. I would love to hear people's experiences of uber and whether this would work better for us. My only worrys so far are early pick up times ,as for both discovery cove and our universal stay we will need very early pick up times and having wifi / internet to arrange pick up. Thanks in advance! |

If your plan is to do these day consecutive then carhire may well work out the best financial option and flexible option.
If not then Uber or taxi. £ wise little difference. For me car every time but all our groups are different. Enjoy.

Trip number 47 to Florida for us next month, that's 47 car hire's for us too.
We would never think of not hiring a car, freedom to do and see what ever you want when you want.

We used Uber and Lyft (to take advantage of discount codes) on our recent trip to Universal (staying at Holiday Inn opposite Universal) and New York.
We took a taxi from the airports but used Uber back to the airports. Plus we used Uber/Lyft for a trip to IHop along International Drive and a visit to Florida Mall. We spent under £200 in total for all the trips we made including airport transfers (which was 4 transfers as we had a split stay in Florida and NYC). Of course, we didn't have a car readily available but we found Ubers etc came within 5 minutes of ordering them. We also had no problems having wifi as all restaurants, hotels and shopping malls have free fast wifi connection. |
