Avis preferred procedure...
Hi
Avis have told me as a proffered member I can go straight to the garage band there will be a board telling me where my car will be. They said they will also send an email to me prior with the same details. If I don't like the car allocated can I change it. Has anyone done this yet?

Done preferred, name not on board, but went to desk in garage and they shipped my prefered membership card (joined as soon as I booked the BA fly drive) and that was it, gave me bay number. Wasn't fussed about car...It's Hyundai Tuscan...I never change unless it's broken.

Excited about Disney
|
We're just back from our first experience with 'preferred'. Went straight to garage but no name on the board (screen), but I believe this is standard for the first time. Just went to the kiosk next to it where the chap checked my licence, and then told me where my car was. Keys were in the car, so drove away. They will check the barcode on the car at the exit (can't remember if they checked my licence again), but then we were away. All quite easy. If/when we do our next 'preferred' trip, I understand my name *will* be on the screen.
