Monday 13th October
Today was our last full day in NYC
We pretty much had the same breakfast as the day before, so I won't bore you with the same pictures. It turns out we didn't eat too much today, must have been prepping for the Orlando food fest to come later! Lunch was at Shake Shack - recommended by a few people and I remember seeing Abi's instagram picture and told Cam we must come and try it out! We both had the Shackburger (single, I regretting this and should have gone double! ) This was absolutely amazing. Loved it, wanted more! I had a side of fries and Cam had a side of Frozen Custard, it was oatmeal flavour (a special week long flavour they had) and was actually really yummy In the evening we decided to head to Carlo's bakery. We went to the one in Time Square rather than the original. Ordered 2 cannoli's - these were really really nice, not quite the same as the ones we had in Rome, but still very tasty

We love it. I used to watch it years ago and then discovered it on one of our sky channels a few months back and have been binge watching ever since!

Wednesday 14th October - ORLANDO
So today is the day we travel to Orlando - yay!
I failed a bit with plane food this whole trip - we actually ate our breakfast on the plane, not sure what we ate, but it was OK. First stop was checking into our Hotel. We were staying at the Hilton Doubletree by Seaworld for 3 nights - at check in they forgot to give us our cookies, so when I asked about them before we left for seaworld they gave us 4 instead of 2. They were all eaten in about 5 minutes - lovely! This was around midday so we counted it as our lunch! Around 3pm we got peckish again and decided to hunt down a rice crispy treat - I am a little obsessed by these, they are my number 1 treats in Orlando, and we get quite a few throughout our stay. We went for a rather large Shamu tale one - again this was wonderful! For dinner we had decided to head to Olive Garden. We ate at Olive Garden in California and loved it, so it was 1st on the list when we got to Orlando. For starters we both had the Chicken and gnocci soup and breadstick - yum yum yum For mains - I went for a chicken alfredo - just as yummy as when I had it last year Cam went for a lasagne - he said this was very very good, I took a bite and agreed Suitably full, we decided to skip desert and head to Magic Kingdom for our 1st taste of Disney, followed by Disney Springs - skipping desert and getting something in the part became a theme for the holiday! We ended up getting a cookie dough ice cream to share at Disney Springs - this was again really lovely Cam ate most of it!

That rice krispie treat! My god! Droooool!
I never buy them anymore because they always have chocolate/icing on, I remember always going to the Boardwalk Bakery as a kid and getting a plain one about the size of my head, but they dont do them anymore without 'stuff' on. However your one has enough non-chocolate area to keep me happy! My OH would gladly eat the chocolate bit Loving your report! |

Thank you
I think they do plain ones in Goofys candy store at the Disney Store, because you can get them decorated yourself, so I assume they can just sell you a plain one! The chocolate bit is my favourite, when we went to Goofys I got it completely covered in chocolate and M&Ms ha!

Thursday 15th October
Sorry I haven't updated for a while
Turns out today was quite a FAT day! Today we were heading for our swamp boat ride so decided to have breakfast at IHOP. Cam had pancakes I had a waffle - Banana and cream and it was lovely, we loved the cream! Once we finished at the boat tour we decided to head into Disney for the 1st time, where else but the magic kingdom. Now on my 3 previous trips with my family we weren't usually able to buy snacks in the parks (we were big breakfast, big dinner people) so on this trip I wanted to try all the snacks we could! 1st up was the funnel cake - what everyone says is true - It was wonderful. We shared this (trying not to be too fat!) Next up was Dole Whips - now we had these is Disneyland last year and couldn't wait to have more - they did not disappoint. Of course we went for the float! For dinner tonight we headed to Millers Ale House, unfortunately the queue was huge so we tried elsewhere. This was a bit stressful as we couldn't really find anything, it was late and we were tired. In hindsight there were loads of restaurants we liked across the road, we just never looked In the end we went for a Johnny Rockets - this is a classic American burger place. Fat and juicy burgers. It was enjoyable, but not our best meal of the holiday. WCam had the Rocket Double and me the Double cheese and bacon burger, and shared some chilli cheese fries
