That pizza looked lush as does that s'mores pie... How am I going to fit all this food in?

We've never tried the Grand Floridian Cafe but Ohana on the first night sounds like a great idea

Day Five

Breakfast was in the room again today as we knew what we fancied for lunch.

Casey's

We'd seen the hot dogs coming out of Casey's the other day and had been fancying them since.

The hot dogs come in two sizes regular or foot long, both are available on the dining plan.

I went for a plain footlong and BF went for a footlong barbecue slaw dog.

I really enjoyed mine but the bun was so big that I left half of it. BF enjoyed his but had to eat quite a bit of the topping first as it was piled so high. Both meals came with fries, they are quite thin fries but were nice and hot and good.

For our desserts I got the crackerjack, a caramel popcorn with peanut and BF got a brownie.

We haven't eaten these yet, we were full after the hot dogs and fries so have kept them for a snack.

Hoop de doo

For dinner we were at the 8:30 showing of Hoop De Doo. We've been before but not for a few years. On the dining plan it takes two table service credits and you can choose either category 2 or 3 seating at the first two shows or category 1, 2 or 3 at the last showing of the evening. Your tip is also included.

We joined my mum, dad and brother for the meal.

Here's the menu for those interested.

We started with the cornbread. Which is always a nice way to start here.

They then bring around the salad.

Finally the fried chicken and ribs are brought out. Sorry no photos of these as I was too distracted by the show and sticky fingers. These are ok but you can get better elsewhere on property. All the food is brought out family style. The chicken is a mixture of thighs and drumsticks, if you want more of a certain one you can ask, we got more drumsticks. There are also lots of sides, I didn't personally eat the mash but my brother seemed to like it, not sure if anyone ate the beans or corn.

Dessert is strawberry shortcake, a layer of strawberries (it's the same as served on pancakes here) a layer of cream and then vanilla sponge. It's served as a big portion in a skillet for each table to dish up. Again it's good but not something you'd necessarily order.

As said above the food isn't the best here but the entertainment more than makes up for it. We all thoroughly enjoyed the show and left full, so happy family. We all highly recommend this as we have a great evening.

One of the plain ones is big enough to share, we would have shared but I'm not a fan of coleslaw

Great updates! That's good that you get free refills at Blaze, I like the look of the pizzas as they are thin based. O'hana is my favourite, those dumplings mmmmmnn memories. Love hoop de doo as well...yeeehaaaaaaah.
