AKL: In room storage space?

I was wondering if anyone can give me an idea how much storage space there is in a standard room at AKL? I will be there for a couple of weeks with my wife and 1 child, so there will be a reasonable amount of luggage and just wondered if we should aim to pack as light as possible or if storage space is adequate?

Many thanks in advance

We went in 2018, had 3 suitcases, 1 pushchair, 2 car seats and at least 2 wheeled cabin luggage cases. There's lots of storage space. I seem to remember we had one case under the sinks in the dresser area outside the bathroom, the car seats either went inside the wardrobe or on top of it with a suitcase in the vice versa position and a case under DH's bed. Can't remember where the wheelie suitcases were but we weren't tripping over them/moving them out of the way all the time.

My clothes were in the wardrobe and kids and DH clothes were all put in the chest of drawers which I remember as being large enough for all that. Underwear in bedside drawers.

You'll have loads of room, esp with just 3 of you.

If you request a refurb partial Savannah view room on Kudu Trail they have made the new beds on legs so cases will be able to go under the beds out of the way if that helps.

We were there in 2017 and struggled for drawer space. We’d just come from the WL and there was a lot less space. We’re 2 adults and 1 child too. We had room for our cases, but couldn’t really unpack properly, which was frustrating. We were told by the club level manager that (a) it was originally designed to be a moderate, hence the smaller size of room and less storage than other deluxe hotels; and (b) that when they were refurbed, there would be more storage. This was October 2017.

A good tip is to take packing cubes, and keep them in the drawers as they take up less space than unpacked clothes. Once you have dirty clothes, you can just put them in an empty cube and back in your case.

Thanks very much for the advice and tips, much appreciated. We are going October 2020 so should hopefully all be refurbed rooms by then.
