That's similar to mine - 38,000 or so miles for £270, give or take.

Checking my Flying Club account, that's about the same number of miles I've earned with my VA credit card over the last seven months, so it does represent a decent boost I guess.

I do have a flight booked but its not on the system yet as we booked it through Virgin Holidays? I also have flying club.

Can I still boost if its through the above?

Do you all just use the boosted miles towards your next flight then?

The TA told me that 3000 miles is worth about £16.50? So how much extra are we gaining by boosting the miles?

Sorry, but this is all so new to me, I'll catch on soon

Well I’ve gone ahead and done it. I’ve boosted both legs x 3 for both of us so got almost 20,000 “free” miles. It’ll give us enough for economy out and PE back which is what we’re doing this year and even paying for the miles will save quite a bit on what that would be full price. Just need to hope the reward seats are as easy to get next year as they were this year!

Really sorry for a dumb question, what are boosted miles? Do you buy them? Sorry!

I have about 10,000 miles which gives very little money off with m+m fares. Been considering buying miles if it would be worth it. Want premium flights for end of Sept next year. Not sure if any miles will help or not

If you have an upcoming flight (or have flown in the past 6 months) you can pay Virgin to match, double or treble the amount of miles you receive for that journey. Also they are currently running a bonus running along side this promotion for an extra 20%/30%/40% depending upon which of the above you choose.

Good spot OP. £253 for 35k miles. Should gives us enough to upgrade next year's flights to PE once they are released 👍

Does this mean I can buy enough miles for 2 upgrades? Would this be a cheaper way to get premium flights?

It would depend what balance you already have. It's around 22k miles per person for a return upgrade to PE for standard season.
