Orange Lake - best and newest area?
Potentially going to squeeze in a trip in January next year. I've been looking at this resort and it looks really good. Problem is it's massive and I have no idea what area would be the best/newest and why. We have a toddler so would also prefer somewhere more suitable for her.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hi, River Island is the place to go for with a toddler. All places in Orange Lake are good and there is a free shuttle to take you around the resort. We always stay in the North village as it is quiet. West village is also quiet , so the only place I would not stay is the East village. All high rise buildings.

Thank you for your reply. When looking at Virgin Holidays you can pay £300+ extra for River Island. I assume that if I just book a generic area that I can put in a request with the resort for River Island or does that area cost extra?

River Island to stay is extra as it is next to the water park. The units there are better equipped and you have a private area at River Island. Not worth the extra money unless you are going to stay at Orange Lake for your whole holiday. It is easy to get to the river island water park by car or shuttle. As you saw the place is vast and you have several pools to choose from.Any of the villages are good.

So you always have to pay extra to stay in that area? We will have a car but I don't want to have to be driving within the resort really.
Still weighing up here or a villa

Have you checked out the website
members.holidayinnclub/e...ge-lake-resort This will give you a better idea of what is there. If you want peace and quiet then go to a villa. I own at Orange Lake so that's why we go there
