I know it opened in 1990 but the post said 'all the way up to Universal 30th birthday in 1990', hence my confusion. Perhaps it was a typo and should've been 2020.

There’s no way I’d wait that long for a ride that lasts a few minutes. Utter madness, the queues better be shorter by this November 😆

Sorry I reedited my post now. Think I must have been half asleep when I wrote that.

We rode it on June 29th and had a 90 minute Q
The opening weekend was average 270 minutes.
Last week varied from 35 mins to 270 mins - we got into a 3 hour Q and found it to be 90 minutes.

It is a fun ride but the Q line is very hot and looks best at night IMO.

We rode today and only queued 60 minutes which was well worth it. The other two rides were both around 20-30 minutes and that was all around mid day

Why do people wait in line that long? What a waste of a day, and please don't tell me they are waiting with young children.

It’s not like the line actually was 7 hours long. That was a bit of an exaggeration by the CM. It was about 4.5 hours on the opening day - still a long time to wait in line though, I agree. Now the average posted wait time seems to be 75 mins, which isn’t too bad for a ride that has only been open for just over a week. And that might be a over estimation of the actual wait time (see some previous posts).

The queues are already a lot shorter - see above. By November I suspect the queue for SDD will be an hour or less, unless you are visiting during Thanksgiving week.

Star Wars will be like queuing for Wimbledon centre court tickets
