Park Hours for July/August

Our trip is getting very close now and we are very excited!

Just wondering if the Disney park hours are likely to change any more before we go?

They can change at any time. I tend to find they change (if they are going to) a few weeks out as that is when they firm up cast members shifts and have a good idea of how many people are going to be in the parks.


Last year I got an email saying the hours had changed on the 13th July for my dates beginning the 19th Aug.

Kind of annoying but at the same time can lead to extra FPs if they extend being suddenly available. Don't quote me on this but the change is usually for the better as I have found that they publish the minimum hours to start with then extend as needed. However can see them dong the opposite if it looks like it will be really quiet but we have always had them adding hours rather than take away. Universal on the other hand did take hours away which was annoying but as you don't have to plan as much it was workable.

I noticed MK is closing at 9 and opening at 9 for most of the dates I’m there (late July to mid August). Three years ago it closed typically at 10 with plenty of midnight closures. So hope we get long hours again but not banking on it! Something magical about late nights in MK 😊

Last year for us it went from 9pm to 10pm closing for most days at the end of Aug but happened about a month out

Would have to agree when we were there last in 2016 it seemed that most nights MK was open late.

We really enjoyed a few late evenings and can remember riding BTM 3 times back to back, once in the front, once in the middle and then at the back and then on to SM!

I be expecting the July hours to update around the middle Friday in June.
I’m hoping for a few later Mk nights and maybe an early AK morning when the hours update.

Some of my dates just updated. Looks like the week before GE opening have gone to 10pm for MK, interestingly not the week before which suggests to me its going to be busier that week, damn it!

I’ve had the TP email to say MK is now open until 10pm on the 22nd August. That’s the only date they have sent me so far.
