Should I use Fast Pass for shows
Hi, another first timers question!
Is there any need to use fast passes for the shows at WDW in August? When I went to DLP a number of years ago (2009), we just arrived 30 min before the start of the show and got really seats, never a problem as the viewing areas held so many people? But I keep being told WDW is so much bigger and more people, just wondering if I should change any of my FP selections? |

what type of shows? are you thinking for like fireworks, or the stage type shows like beauty and the beast and lion king?
despite large amounts of seating even at quieter times of the year the shows can be full esp for something like fantasmic esp with them having the show and dine packages but generally we never have any issues with getting in

We use our fast pass for shows sometimes, it can get very busy and pretty full and it's nice to get out of the sun and into shade/air con, quicker.

i wouldnt use one for its tough to be a bug it is like a 4d cinema experience so it resets really quickly and the queues move fast to go for it
monsters inc laughter floor - as above it resets quickly and u go through super fast Lion King - nemo - beauty and the beast - frozen - all 'live' shows and despite several show options in the day they get quite busy so if u want to be guaranteed entry then id FP these - we normally go and hope for the best and have always gotten in but sometimes have been right at the very back or if thers a few of us split up over a couple of rows - not an issue for us tho ive never seen the stunt show at max capacity an its not my fave show personally so i probably wouldnt bother getting a fp myself id just try my luck but if you really want to see it then yeah fp it

We did for lion king as we didn’t fancy a long queue and had a spare FP but tbh I don’t think it’s necessary

We don’t use them for shows. A fast pass for a 3pm show will say arrive by 2:50.
If you arrive by 2:50 you will get seated without a fastpass anyway. Although you will be in a different area of the theatre. Even in august we tend to turn up at shows late and get a seat without a problem. |

We tend to do it for the Lion King and Frozen but that's mainly due to the fact we have used our first 3 and it's just a way of getting in a bit earlier than the standby lines.
However the method in my madness is that whilst I am sat down waiting I am on the phone trying to grab a headliner such as FOP!
