a good place to view the fireworks from if you dont like crowds and not to bothered about the music is the top deck of the MK ferry, we did this in 2004 and it was really nice to float to and fro watching the fireworks, then seeing all the crowds trying to get on the boat knowing we still had out place. you might get lucky and be on your way to the TTA when they finish. but dont forget loads of mozzie rep

The resort monorail is nearly always quicker when leaving the park at night as well.

We always use the resort monorail at night if we are leaving the park at closing time.

Sorry can you just clarify this... you get to the entrance of the monorail or ferry at the car park to MK and instead of getting on the rail to MK get it going the other way to the resorts ( grand foridian etc ) and it will take you in to the MK? Have i got that right? ( sorry i'm a bit slow ! )

Cool! I presume that it works the other way too? When the park closes and there's crowds of people all trying to get to the ticket centre for the trams you can just go to the resort monorail and it'll take you to there?

Yes, you can use the resort monorail loop when you exit the MK to get to the main parking lot. You'll go via the Contemporary, but that's cool! It takes longer than the main express monorail loop, but the queues are often shorter so you can usually get on the next monorail rather than having to wait.
