I think we pay about the same for Alton Towers, if memory serves me correct.

Whilst not overly happy with paying each day I've budgeted for it, I suppose it's personal choice but want the car for ease (don't want to be held to buses etc.. times)

Why should everyone subside the car parking, if the tickets were to include this?

Erm ... they just DID put the prices up!

I wish you could buy a parking package (a bit like SeaWorld/Aquatica) then you'd just have your permit in the window. They'd then have your money up front, and if you didn't go to a park a particular day then they'd gain.

What I'd LIKE to see is booths for on-site guests who don't need to pay. I spent so much time stuck behind people not just paying for their day's parking but also asking the person in the booth all sorts of questions. They're not an information booth - stop holding up the queues!

... and £6 is about $9, so still half the price of Disney now!

The few times we've had to pay parking, I have found it a bit frustrating as it does seem like such a lot of money for nothing. What we did was put the money in an envelope so it was already allocated and available each day. I think if we did it again I'd load it up on it's own FairFx card so it could just be swiped each day and I wouldn't even have to think about it.

And Alton towers is a quarter of the size of WDW! No daily parade, no daily fireworks. Don't forget that parking payment is for ALL day and should you park hop it's still valid.

What I do find a rip-off is paying to park at a Resort. One of two nights at a universal Resort paying $18 is as much as I'd like to pay. At least Disney don't do that

And paying the parking by card is actually quicker than paying by cash!
