Selfie sticks

I was sick of the sight of these by the end of our three weeks, they were everywhere and extremely annoying. I could have happily rammed them somewhere unsavoury on the next person who blocked my view with this silly contraption.

We saw loads of these when we were there in August. My boys were ford er unintentionally getting in the way of them, the older ones used to tut at them or laugh at how ridiculous people looked when using them and DH was just unimpressed by the intrusion of them at shows and parades, not to mention along walkways in and out of the parks.

I like the idea of them however ... We saw wishes this week and we had four ppl in front of us all using these sticks to raise there large go pros in front of everyone's views to record the fireworks, we moved three times and they obstructed out views EVERYWHERE ! I've never been so annoyed in my life and it really spoilt it for us, I did mention it to one woman right in front of us and she shrugged and stuck the thing even higher !
I never rant about anything and I try not to let stuff like this get to me but I was really annoyed

I don't think they actually take photos. I think people just put them on sticks and wave them in the air to show off about the fact they have a go pro!

im ashamed to say me and my boyfriend got a lot of use out of his during our recent trip round asia

just wanted to add we only used ours to take photos of ourselves not to film shows or events, it was a really useful way to get photos of ourselves on holiday with the whole background in without having to constantly ask people to take them for us...

I hope they fold up- can't imagine lugging a stick everywhere just so I can take a few photos of myself!
