I can only speak for our personal experience when I renewed our annual policy with Staysure in June.

Whether the FCO advise was in place at the time you booked the holiday or when you took out the policy is completely irrelevant. We had two booked last June and the FCO advice was in place. The only thing that matters is if you travel against FCO advice then the policy is invalid.

Obviously if the tour operator or airline CANCEL you're legally entitled to a full refund from them so your insurance provisions don't have any relevance as you can't claim against them anyway.

We’ve just booked with staysure for our August holiday. Pretty good price I think.
It was cheaper to buy for a year rather then just the holiday.

A lot of Dibbers over the past 12 months have been covered by their banks. Sadly though HSBC kicked us out when we reached 70.

Linda

It is when you won't see your 75th birthday again. My much younger bride has to wait until June for her 75th.

do we think the prices will drop once the FCO say we can travel? or is this the prices for insurance now as it covers Covid related issues? we are getting just under £200 for 30s couple with no medical conditions (same price for annual and single trip with Staysure)

Really? That’s shocking.
We’ve just booked with them and it’s around £150 for a family of 5. 1 of us has asthma.

We will be interesting to see, that’s what I’m wondering, do I wait or do I purchase now?
Just wondering if the insurances now have everything included for what is needed , if testing is required for this year on exit and retry if you test positive
