The studio actually sleeps 5. There's a pull down double along with a pulldown single and also the double bed too.

The SSR studios don't have the single pull down bed, so only sleep 4 unfortunately. I was really disappointed that they didn't add the single bed during the refurb.

We stayed in a 1 bed which was by far the nicest DVC room we have stayed in yet. That has a pull down but not studios (suspect fire code stopped 5 in studio).

Correct. No pull down single.

would love to stay in a one bed but we are going for 3 weeks and especially with the 50% rule are miles off having the points to do it :-( so wondering if Disney will allow you to put 5 in the studio using a blow up or roll out bed?

You would have to "sneak" the 5th person in, you cannot exceed occupancy it's against Fire Code so therefore "illegal" so the short answer is no IYKWIM

If I “snook” someone in am I right I’m thinking that they wouldn’t qualify for extra evening hours or how would the key work. You know just out of curiosity 😉

They wouldn't be linked to a resort stay so you would struggle with anything that requires it, and their bands wouldn't open a door they weren't officially staying in.
