Mobile Virgin holidays voucher

Thinking of cancelling our trip planned for August due to current situation and funds. We had booked a flydrive with virgin and paid a deposit (750). They have said we can get a voucher for this sum if we want but does anyone know if this can just be used for say car hire or attractions tickets or do we have to book a full package or flydrive again? I was in a chat with virgin but they take forever to come back!

I would think if it's sold by virgin holidays it should be valid on any purchase

They say it has to be used on a flight inclusive package.
When we cancelled our holiday last year and requested a voucher. We specifically asked them in the phone (both hubby and I on speaker phone) if we could use the voucher on anything at all including car rental or park tickets. The lady answered that yes we could!
So when it came to using the voucher to book car rental for this year the man I spoke to said I’d been told incorrect information and it needed to be a flight inclusive booking.
We ended up going down the complaints route as all of their calls are recorded and they agreed to let us use it on car rental once they listened to the call.
Give them a ring and ask the question 😉

We are having the same issues, we cancelled and got a voucher. I rang to ask how I could use it and was told that I could use my voucher on virgin holidays or virgin Atlantic - I rang to use my voucher on hotel and tickets and was told I had to use it on a package holiday - even though they listened to my call and the call centre had told me incorrect info.
