Travel Day

Woke at 7, so me and my brother walked to asda so we could get some sweets for the flight! Bought some twizzlers to get in the American mood!

Then we drove to the kennel to drop our puppy Freddie off for 15 days, he didn't even seem bothered with us leaving!

And now were all loaded and ready to go! En route to heathrow! Yay!

We went to giraffe for a meal in terminal 1, it was nice, just very very slow service! Had a good view of the planes though!

I had a chicken BLT burger and a coconutty iced tea, it was in a very weird glass!

Next, was our first flight to Washington Dulles, luckily we had been upgraded to economy plus, it was amazing the amount of legroom we had!

Meal on the flight was either beef skillet with potatoes and veg or chicken in a mushroom sauce with carrots and risotto, I had the chicken and so did my mum, it was very nice and came with a salad, and a chocolate cake thing!

Love seeing this on the map! Getting closer to USA aswell as being ahead of schedule!

About an hour and a half before we landed they brung round a snack, it was lovely!
-turkey,Edam and pesto roll
-sea salted crisps
-cluster (raisin and chocolate)

Then we landed!

The total flight time- 7:20-7:25!

We walked up and down the terminal (it's long and straight! ) and I thought the wall looked very pretty with all the lights!

EXTRA NOTE: from touchdown to waiting for connecting flight it took 25 mins to get through baggage claim, recheck the bags in, immigration and security. yay!

And then we were off to Orlando, after a half hour delay we boarded the plane around 9:45, only to be told there would be further delays due to the brake cable rubbing against something, grrrrrrr!

Finally we took off, 99% of people slept on that flight, we landed in Orlando at 12:25am local time, 23 minutes late!

We collected the car from Alamo after a disagreement on the size of the cars, but we finally chose one that was an SUV not a tiny thing! I need to take a picture but its a white Chevrolet, 5 seater, very nice!

Then we left the airport around 1:30am ish, got to vista cay around 2am, but it took another 45 mins after that to find the clubhouse! Turns out there's 3-4 turnings for vista cay! Arrived at the clubhouse only to be told that it might not be ready, so waited 30 minutes again, bearing in mind it was about 7:30am uk time, we all just wanted to go to bed!

Arrived in our condo and it was a very nice 3 bed 2 bath, with a view of the lake, we can also see sea world from the balcony!

Then we unpacked and went to bed around 3:45am! Ready for sea world and Golden Corral tomorrow!
