Hi Grovet,Welcome to the dibb first of all.

Discovery cove is fantastic for swimmers and non swimmers, you get to do all the same things as the swim package only when they go for there dolphin swim you will have to watch them from the beach.
You also get to eat, drink as much as you like and do everything else.
Its a fantastic day and you will not miss out on anything as you will be able to see what your family are doing and you could also record them when they are doing there dolphin swim.

Hi. Welcome to the Dibb. We are going to DC this year and me and my niece will be swimming with dolphins but DS doesn't want to (he has done it before). You can still have fun if you don't swim. Take a good book and just relax for a few hours. You won't be seperated from your family - unless you want to be

Last year 6 of us did the swim but DD didn't want to, she sat at the edge watching us do ours. Other than the time spent in the hut when they tell you what will happen (around 20 mins) and the actual swim she was with us all the time and even came into the hut to look at the photos after the swim.

If I read this right you are saying you cant swim not that you didn't want to. If the only reason you aren't doing the dolphin swim is because you cant then dont worry about it. I cant swim and did this last month.
You can wear a life jacket if you prefer but I decided not to once I got in the water as the trainer told me that the combination of the wet suit and salt water would make me buoyant anyway... she was right and I had a fabulous time not only on th swim but with the tropical fish as well. In fact the only time I felt the need for a life jacket was when a group of lads were messing about on the lazy river and I panicked a bit.

Whichever you decide, swim or not, I'm sure you will have a fantastic day

Disney seem to do a Dolphin interaction as well now, and it is only in waist high water so you do not have to be able to swim to do it.
