Too dangerous to sit in garden

I did a job for a customer yesterday who backs onto a golf course, and these are some balls from this year that's landed in his garden, and apparently there are loads more in the hedges and bushes.

I definitely wouldn't enjoy being in the garden putting myself at risk from one of those things landing on my head, or I would be seeing birdies:

Why would you sit in the garden in November or are you working outside?, get a hard hat if you are!
Wouldn’t want you getting knocks to the head and you becoming sensible!

I don't just mean November, but imagine sitting on the garden in the summer lands on your head. Mind you in might some sense into some people

Definitely wouldn’t be able to have a greenhouse would you.
That’s a dangerous place to try and have a bbq in the summer.
An old AC/DC song comes to mind... but golf balls are smaller than those mentioned in the song 😉

Very dangerous, unless you get a hole in one

I don't play golf myself, but I suspect it would be quite a popular pastime in the warmer months of the year too.

We rent a villa on Highlands Reserve that backs onto the golf course. During a two week stay many balls bounced off the Lanai, and two actually burst thro the netting and went into the pool. Needless to say the culprits didn’t come anywhere near us!

We did actually consider this when we were looking to buy a villa on Highlands Reserve as we had heard about golf balls breaking windows and coming through the pool screens, neither of which would be cheap to replace. That's one of the reasons we bought the house we did, because we still have fantastic open views across the golf course whilst being far enough away not to be bothered by golfers or errant golf balls!
