FP+ Tactics!

Hello,

We go 19th October so tomorrow is fast pass day! As we all know, all Disney parks (excluding epcot) are EMH every day we're there. So would you think booking a fp as early as possible would be best idea? As I'm sure therell be big queues already from the disney peeps in the hour before. Oh I dont know! What would you suggest? Any help greatly appreciated!

In general if you are not rope dropping a park (which you can’t do due to emh) then book fast passes as early as possible so you stand a better chance of getting more on the day.

No going till May but did not know that sometimes they do EMH at every park. Last time we went it was different park every day.

As it’s open before you can come in then rope drop is a moot point. I would get everything as early as possible then move on the the 4th as soon as could

If going at rope drop then book your first fastpass for an hour after park opening.
At rope drop make your way to one of the headline rides and ride that, then have your three fast passes blocked as closely as possible together and as soon as you’ve used all three try and snag a 4th.
You can look for a fourth as soon as you’re in the queue at the 3rd as it will know you’re there.
Then as soon as you’re in you’re 4th you can search for a 5th etc.

Personally I’d never waste a fastpass on a show as you can usually get into them
Without any problems.

Don’t wait until you have used all three. Once you have tapped in for the first, try and amend the second for an earlier time. And the same with the third.
That way you will use your first three earlier and stand more chance of getting more.
Other people will still be waiting on the original times they have booked.

We are here now and would usually go early in the morning but have found going later in the day has worked better for us this time as the onsite guests have been going in early bumping up the wait times but by late afternoon they pour out and we’ve been going in against the crowds with no wait for bag checks or entrance queues. We’ve tried doing early mornings last week but pm fast passes for good rides were taken anyway so switched tactics and it’s worked!

I got quite a few while in the parks over the last few weeks, as LLamb says, as soon as you've tapped into your FP, go into the app and modify your next FP to be a closer time. When you are booking them before you go, you can only book then an hour apart, and modifying them once you have used one allows you to move the second one to right away, then you can go on your second one as soon as you've finished your first ride.
