Mobile Reservations on City Walk

Second time to florida in October but first time to Universal. Do we need to pre book restaurants or can we walk up and wait? Any advice appreciated x

We didn't pre book any and never had to wait in early October. The busiest one we tried was Cowfish who had a wait for an inside table but no wait for an outside.

We have always found that timing is everything. Places like Margaritaville are very popular for an evening meal - but if you get there before 5.30ish they can seat you straight away. Anytime after may involve a wait. I'm pretty sure you can't pre-book Toothsome though.
If you have any plans to eat at Bubba Gump's I would suggest getting a Landrys card before you go and tell them its your birthday during the month of your holiday. It costs $25 for the card - which you get back as a welcome credit. You also get $25 added during your birthday month. The main advantage however is that just by showing your card to the check in desk you get seated pretty much straight away.

Another advocate for the Landry card. We were there a couple of weeks ago and we managed to lose our card whilst we were there. When we went to Bubba Gump's there was no issue as they just looked us up. Straight in and even had the $25 deducted from the bill.

We arrived at Toothsome without a reservation and waited around half an hour but this was probably peak time, around park closing (8.30-9.00pm).

We also used the Landry card a couple of times at Disney, Rainforest Cafe and T-Rex and they didn't even ask to see the card, seated straight away but then we just used our dining credits.

We get priority because we are on site guests. But we’ve never used it. Longest wait was 45 minutes at Hard Rock last year but in reality it was about 20 and we just grabbed a drink.

This was September
