Dignified silence may be a better (or more moral) option. That's business for you 😁

I was wondering this too, as one of the Condor flights listed is our actual TC flight. I noticed yesterday that they're not listed as TC anymore on SkyScanner but are listed as Condor instead.

Our booking is through TC but says the holiday is provided by Airtours. I am presuming that no TC = no Airtours holiday, but haven't got a clear answer yet.

For anyone looking at backup options and due to fly in the next week, we've found a reasonable replacement package with BA for around £1800 for the two of us with indirect flights. Virgin's cheapest trip for the same dates (at an inferior hotel) is around £4,500!

Well I'd assume they'd ground Condor flights seeing as Condor is owned by Thomas Cook Group.

But then again.. we all know that the Airlines side of Thomas Cook Group are in a profitable state meaning administrators may keep Condor, TC airlines running etc.

Just went into skyscanner and looked for my flights for next year. They are now advertised as Condor flights and, when I click through to book them, it takes me to a Condor website which looks exactly the same as the TC one I originally booked through. The flights are still saying TC flight numbers but are advertised as Condor flights now. They definitely weren’t a code-share when I booked them. Interesting.

Edited to say that I know Condor are owned by TC but just interesting to see the change in ‘name’ advertising the flights today. The cynic in me would say it’s so that they can still continue to sell TC tickets to unsuspecting buyers who wouldn’t buy TC ones.

Edited at 10:56 AM. Reason: Added info

Definitely interesting, though I wondered if this was something independently implemented by Skyscanner to assist with bookings via their site - as in if people would be more likely to click through and make a booking with Condor than Thomas Cook, in this particular situation

I would expect nothing less from Virgin than blatant opportunism. That price will probably drop in the unlikely event that TC survive.. or rise still further in the event that they do not.
