Mobile HHN tickets given in wait lines?

Dd and dh did HHN last night and were given some tickets while waiting in lines for some of the houses but aren’t sure what they are for. Does anyone have any idea?
TIA

We’re they to measure the wait times?
Possibly hand them back to the staff as they get to the front of the queue?

No they were like the little strip tickets - just say Universal Orlando Resorts and they asked how many in party and then gave them a ticket each. They look like something you maybe save like when you play bingo and you get so many tickets and you swap for prizes.

It’s to make sure you aren’t queue jumpers. They are meant to collect them at the door.

What a good idea. It’s a shame there aren’t these on some Disney rides - it’s amazing the number of people who have “lost their party” how does that happen in a queue 🤔.

When the boys were toddlers one son has a ladder problem and my OH had to leave the line to take him to the restrooms and they couldn't get back in line .. when he left we had already waited and hour. I did think it was harsh as people would not let him in .. they were only around 2 and as they are twins were dressed in the same clothes (I know bad Mam lol) so could see we were together .. he was gutted when he missed it.
It was the second trip and we didn't know about child swap or DAS 🤷🏼 X

We were given some but only in the Killer Klownz scare house. No one asked for them so we just thought it was a gimmicky thing as in going to the circus ... as it was clowns. Could be wrong though

They are given out to prevent Q jumpers. And yes they do ask for them. But Sometimes they don't so you never know whether they ask for them. Personally so people joining the Q with out the waiting.
