Hope rest of trip goes smoothly. Are BA able to say now what your options are if you can't make your flight. They may be able to bump you now onto a different flight as it is their problem. That might ease the pressure a bit. Presuming you had a through ticket from man-mia?

Did they say why the flight was cancelled?

I imagine it’s cancelled due to the weather currently. We are here and it showed grounded planes and bad rain over Miami and Fort Lauderdale yesterday (rained through until late afternoon in Orlando).
Still a poor show from BA which is surprising. |

Are you booked on a BA holiday (IE flydrive or flight and hotel?)

Good luck. I hope the train gods smile on you. Not easy on a day when there is disruption anyway because of the weather. Hope the kids hold up and that youget there as quickly and smoothly as possible. Beer at the airport for definite. Really surprised BA aren't under an obligation to pop you in a taxi, or something. x

That is very poor, I would have expected them to fly you down to Heathrow. Fingers crossed for you.

Yes on a flydrive. Does it make a difference?
BA rang me finally. At 12-10 (time of flight) to talk through rebooking options. Earliest is Sunday though I told them I’m on the train to Heathrow (4 trains!). So if we miss the Heathrow connection I’m not sure what will happen. |
