Fastpass Help please Hollywood studios

I know about Tier 1 & 2 as we've holidayed before but looking at HS and almost everything is now tier 1.

So what do people do?

If I book a tier 1 and don't book any tier 2 after we've done our tier 1 ride its not going to let me choose anymore tier 1 fastpasses is it, until weve utilised 2 x tier 2? or have I got this wrong?

Any advise much appreciated as its fastpass day for HS tomorrow

If I have understood you correctly, if you only book one tier 1 fast pass and nothing else, then you can book another ride once you have ridden your tier 1 ride, although you might struggle to get another tier 1 fast pass immediately after because they are in demand. It will be possible, but will often be in many hours time.

So regardless of what fast pass tiers you have, you can't book anymore fastpasses until all you fastpasses have been used.

I believe the above is right, but hopefully some one will correct me if not.

You have to use two tier 2s (and your first tier 1) before you can book another tier 1. Or just allow your two tier 2s to expire as then technically they’ve been used.

I had this same thought a few weeks ago and asked on a different forum.
The answer I got was that if you were to only pre-book a tier 1 FP and nothing else, then after using it, you would still have to use 2 more tier 2 FPs before you could try for another tier 1.
The exception to this is that you could book a tier 1 in another park after only using your single tier 1 FP in your current park.

I think this is a bit rubbish. I don't want any Tier 2 apart from Star Tours. It's just me and my 13-year-old son and we aren't really interested in Indiana Jones or any of the other shows.

Some of the other shows are lovely though, the way to get the other tier 1 rides without booking the tier 2 then is to queue!

That’s about the best way of describing it 😀 regardless of the reasons they are doing it, and how it looks fairer on paper. The reality of it in practice will be lots of wasted FP.

Try and book your tier 2s earlier than your tier 1 and then you are ready for your next.
