Mobile Which townhouse resort?

My parents are coming with us next year for the first time and we’re keen to stay somewhere that has decent communal facilities, like a good size pool, a pool bar, restaurant and a bar open in the evening so that if we go out to a park and they don’t want to, they can walk down to the bar etc. They’re going to be 70. This is the most important thing for us on this trip which is every different to what we usually do!

I’m looking at reviews on the following resorts with communal facilities:-

Encantada - parents used to be CLC owners in Tenerife so it would be familiar for them.

Windsor @ Westside

Terra Verde

Windsor Palms

Does anyone have any feedback? Good or bad! Or any other similar resorts that would fit the bill? Would be looking at a 4 bed townhouse/villa. I’m really struggling! Thank you!

Bahama Bay is really nice and I think Lisa? (bahamalisa) who is on this forum has a couple of units there - have a look at the reviews/pic as it is a very nice place to stop

Thanks! We’ve stayed at bahama bay before, if they had townhouses then I would happily stay there again! But we’re after a townhouse rather than a condo!

We recently stayed at Encantada. I have pics in my latest trip report in my signature below. We loved the townhouse. It was a nice resort. It’s quite big though. We had to drive to the pool from where we were. It wasn’t an issue but it could be for many. We liked the pool area but can’t give feedback on the bar as we didn’t use it.

Thank you! I'll take a look at the report! I don't suppose you know if it was open later on in the evening? I'm finding this trip harder to organise because usually it's just the 4 of us I need to worry about!

We love Encandata and have stayed in both CLC and privately owned properties and in fact heading back next month to a 4 bedroom DIBB unit we stayed in last year. The townhouse we were in is an end unit so only people on one side and had a downstairs double bedroom and small pool (see villa review for more details).

Not sure if you were hoping to rent one with CLC points but their units are only 2 or 3 bedrooms and to be honest having stayed in CLC in Tenerife there are few similarities apart from being lovely units, good amenities and friendly staff. Any 4 bedroom unit will be privately owned and managed.

I've never been in the restaurant so can't comment on this and while the communal pool is okay as has been said it can end up being quite a long distance from the unit and I think over 3 visits we only used it once.

The resort itself is well looked after and only a short drive to supermarkets and loads of restuarants. The positioning of the unit in relation to the clubhouse would be important if your parents are walking up to the pool or restaurant but this would be the same in any resort.

Edited at 05:31 PM.

We stayed in Encantafa, loved the resort, rooms wete on the small side. Club cortile was fabulous, spacious, clean and quiet. Good location and a lovely warm pool. Ladt trip was Trafalgur Village, a wee bit further out but again spacious, and quiet.

We stay in terra verde frequently, it has been great over the years as kids being teenagers, now young adults and all their friends that come with them. Facilities great for all ages, tiki bar great for snacks and drinks especially cocktails.
Townhouses have plunge pool in 4 bedroom, all 3 bedrooms have hot tubs. Villas have pools.
