Aer lingus 3 weeks for refund!
Hi all dibbers,
Just to make4 people aware if Aer Lingus refund times. I booked flights to Orlando on 6t october four four of us i thought a good price at £2,650, tha day after they came out. Checked prices again out of interst a few hours later they had dropped to £2,320 ish reduced by over £400. So I phoned Aer Lingus who suggested I book at new price cancel first booking and would get a refund for the first booking in a few days. did as suggested checked a week later no refund phoned them up was told it would be soon but could take a week to ten days. Phoned again after this was tols up to 28 days. It took over three weeks, so i had to pay interest and additional charge for going over my credit card limit. I just thought I would share this in case someone is in same position. |

Similar story with BA..Booked direct LGW - TPA returns for the for of us next August for £2600 on Oct 14th..Website crashed before I reached the "verified by Visa" payment page... Went through the whole process again and worked fine. Low and behold a few hours later a 2nd booking appeared-The one that had apparantly failed. Got hold of BA immediatly and they started to process the refund. 3 Weeks late I've got around 80% of it back..Still waiting for the rest--Annoying !

Took me 2 weeks to arguing with Ebooker (who are part of Expedia) to get my refund after they cancelled my flights. Will never book with them again.

I still haven't received a refund from Aer Lingus from 28th Aug when they bumped us from a flight but we had paid for an additional suitcase, and the new carrier recharged us! They said they have a 60 day backlog for customer service cases.
