Virgin / Alamo Carhire - Booking Ref & OLCI

Hi Guys

Any idea how long it takes for a carhire booking through Virgin to register with Alamo so i can do OLCI

Just booked (Virgin were cheaper than anybody including Andy) and trying to put Virgin booking ref into Alamo and its not currently recognised

How long should i be looking to wait before it works (i'm so impatient i know! )

I find that it's normally the same day during the week and up to 48 hours on the weekend.
Try the dedicated VA/Alamo link and see what that shows.

Still saying 'Please enter proper values for first,last and confirmation Number'

However i have only just had the Virgin confirmation email lol

I would wait until tomorrow then. If nothing by Midday on Monday then chase them up.

Don't panic. We're also travelling at Easter. The Alamo link became active more than 24 hrs after booking through Virgin Atlantic when we did OLCI / skip the counter a few weeks ago...

I have received this every time I have booked with Virgin in the past few years. I usually leave it a few days then I contact Virgin. They then send a bespoke link to the checkin page for my booking. Seemingly it is a common problem.
So if it doenst work in the next day or two - just give them a call.

I nearly always end up cancelling the Virgin car as I usually get a cheaper option.

You need the specific Virgin check-in page, try this
