Holiday and planning
Iam due to travel to Texas at the end of July, But most of me is thinking i hope it gets cancelled as it will be in a state of flux (wherever that is).
As some places will be open and having distancing issues. I have planned a replacement holiday to California in October. It was all originally booked for my youngest sons 21st on July 31. My new plan is 3 days in LA then onto the grand canyon with an overnight in Kingman then 1 night in the GC park. Onward to Las Vegas for 3 nights, 1 in Death Valley,2 in Yosemite, 3 in San Fran then down to LA with a couple of night stops on the way. I think this is more probable but more expensive.

I’m due to go to California in late October with wife and 7 year old boy. I was previously very optimistic over it happening but if I had the chance to change it now to next year then I would. The timeframes they are talking about to establish some degree of normalisation just doesn’t make a decent holiday in October realistic.
Having said that, if the fights are going and the FCO isn’t advising against travel - and Virgin are still in business we will be going 😬 |

I've done the same. Booked to go to Vancouver and Pacific Northwest on 7 September. I've been investigating a route that stays in Canada entirely instead as we fly in to and out of Vancouver, instead of going to Washington and Oregon too.
Canada has far less virus issues than USA (and a more sensible handling of it), especially in BC, so I'm hoping that they will relax the current 2 week quarantine on flights arriving if their lockdown is lifted. Plan on booking new accommodations on a free to cancel basis. Not sure we'll be going at all but is fun to plan!
