Las Vegas hotel
Hi, currently planning a west coast trip for next year, trying to decide on a Las Vegas hotel, I want something family friendly with a nice pool area that wont be too much of a party scene, should we stay on the strip or is just off the strip good too?, should I go for a non gaming hotel? and will there be a resort fee on all hotels?, any advice really? Thanks

We stay just next to the MGM at the polo towers, you can rent a Studio, 1 or 2 bedroom apartment, resort fee is not as expensive as the big hotels.
It has a full kitchen, washing machine etc. 2 pools rooftop and ground floor. It doesnt have a casino which we like as find the casinos very smoky. It has a Starbucks only but that is ok as so much around it. Every so often there is offers on your stay. We love it because of space really dont like having everyone in one room, like the comfort of having a Open plan living room, dining room and kitchen with separate bedrooms.

We stayed at the Desert Rose resort which sounds similar to the Polo Towers .
Just a short walk to the south side of the strip and very cheap for what you got

Signature at MGM Grand is a non gaming hotel but is connected to the main MGM via a moving walkway. Its also a quick walk on Harmon to the side of Planet Hollywood. Its a lovely hotel with kitchen facilities in the rooms and some of the rooms also have a balcony. We stayed here on our first visit to Vegas and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Weve stayed at a few different hotels on the strip since then but would happily go back to the Signature.

Vdara along with Wynn are 2 of my favorite strip hotels. Should have been staying at both in a few days time Vdara is non smoking with no casino, but has a direct walkway to Bellagio, and just across from Aria. You get a fridge, cooking hob and microwave. Great location. Wynn is amazing but further north on the strip. Do you have children with you? Nearly all of the strip, and a lot of non strip hotels charge resort fees.
