GCSE 2023 Dates

I wonder if anyone knows of the GCSE exam and results dates for next year please?
I have tried to look but all i can find is information about this year.

I don’t think exam dates are published til January but tend to be from mid May until approx 3rd week in June. GCSE results are traditionally the third Thursday in August. Again that will need to be confirmed but, apart from covid, it has been this time since I was at school 30 years ago !

I’ve been having a look today. It seems they will be releasing dates later as they want to consider whether this years spreading out of exams is something they want to continue. If so I’d guess somewhere around the 25th June with results on the penultimate Thursday of August. This is very much guesswork though.

I'm a teacher in a secondary school. If I were you I would plan on exams going on until nearer the end of June.

If your child is planning on applying for 6th form either at school or college then there will likely be an induction week at the beginning of July, we are currently in the middle of our 6th form induction now.

Plus of course there is Prom for year 11, which is a lovely rite of passage, I'm so disappointed that my own son missed out on his due to the pandemic back in 2020... Dates will vary depending on school...we had ours in June but others will wait until after induction.

Results day tends to be the 4th Thursday in August. So if you want to pick up results in person and celebrate at school bear this in mind.

As I've said on another thread it's not just exams for some kids.
DS leavers assembly was last Wednesday.
Thursday - Saturday was D of E silver expedition.

This Friday is prom
Next week is college transition days.
Then he has two weeks of NCS taking us until end of July.
