I would also agree with others. Only you know how much you can afford. I would spend about £100 for an 18th. Bear in mind if you have other grandchildren then they will all need to be treated the same.
I know you say she would like cash but for an 18th birthday I would prefer to give a gift which could be saved. I don’t like cash gifts unless the recipient is wanting to buy something specific with it. |

With regards to including 18 - I remember years back hunting down a 20 pence piece and a penny for my friend's birthdays from the year they were born.
You could do 18 pennies ranging from 2004 to 2022. I feel ancient typing that, there was me looking for coins from 1980s... |
