What hotel are you looking at staying in? We are 5 adults and 1 child and to stay at pop century with really expensive flights £6000 it's only costing £10000 sp it is doable. Try booming things separately and not a package, when are you thinking of going?

I think pricing them this far out means you are paying over the odds for flights. Have you tried doing it DIY and do a split stay?

Have you looked at staying at Disneys Pop century? It's only a 'value' hotel but I really liked the rooms as they've all be updated and are nice and bright with a wonderful bathroom area. I've only stayed in Deluxe or Moderate resorts before and I'd be more than happy to stay at POP again for the money. The access to the skyliner and the whole relaxed feel of the resort was great and it's an easy walk over the bridge to Art of Animation (which looked far more hectic).
I would wait another month or 2 before booking to see if any offers are released for 2023 bookings as you might get some free dining credits. |

The flight’s are for 30th of July 2023 as this is the only time I can get off work, they’re with Virgin at the moment. We need 2 rooms as I don’t fancy sharing the same room as my son and his gf lol.
2 wks at a value resort at Disney, no hire car to keep the cost down, Disney and universal tickets. It all comes to £15000, we’re far from being rich! I’d hate to think how much a deluxe would cost! The only other option is staying at a Disney resort that has separate bedrooms, not sure which do this. Really appreciate your helpful replies 👍 |

Looking at just the hotel and park tickets is costing about £7000 for pop so it'll be just flights you need then.

The two rooms will be what is bumping up the price.
Try Old Key West or Saratoga Springs, a 1 bedroom villa will sleep 4 with separate rooms. Or the suites at Art of Animation.

PrincessB I love how £7.6k becomes about £7k normally once you pass the 0.5 you round up so it's really about £8k I certainly can't justify it, when we sit down & add up all our trips, we could easily have bought a house! IMO the big difference now is that £10k 2 years ago was a lot easier to justify than £15k now! When Free Dining was on it was very easy to gloss over the price because the food was "free"! I agree that's there are ways to cut that down but not many of them are going to include onsite. You could probably get an offsite suite Hotel that sleeps all of you for half of that Disney value. Flight prices are also an unknown, I haven't been looking much but I'd say that they are more like they were 4-5 years ago than 2-3, we would unusually be looking £500-£550 but when we were looking that was more £650-£700- one difference from when you went last time to be "aware" of is the lead price, some if not all are leading with a no luggage option.

Feel a bit of a twit linking to my own thread, but a lot of people have posted their holiday costs for 2022 on this thread 'How much is your 2022 trip costing? - it gives you an idea of the massive range of prices and options that are out there.

I'd look at TUI for flights, we always fly with them and find them much cheaper than Virgin. How about looking at a villa to reduce the cost, plenty of room for everyone and also if the grandparents fancy a rest day there is lots of room rather being sat in a hotel room.
