I’m not sure if that’s right so I’ll check that
Yeh I’d double check, there are men’s character shoes available and they have been on birds previous lists but of course each school is different.

I have been deliberating over pillows!
I hate buying pillows, they’re either crazy money or they’re like pancakes after a week (despite claims to the contrary)

It just occurred to me that Premier Inn sell their bedding so I just ordered DS a bundle deal which you can get a further 10% off with Student Beans.
Thought it might be worth sharing.
I figured the pillows must stay in shape, surely?

How’s everyone else getting on with prep?

We’ve started with some kitchen stuff but need to go to Dunelm to get bedding etc. all getting real now that my DS is leaving home in a few weeks. His term starts very early as he is on a two year course and I am SO not ready for an empty nest!

Until the A level results come, I think I'm just ignoring it all. It's by no means clear where she will end up so it doesn't seem at all real.

I'm just restocking DS kitchen / room items. He has finished 1st year and just got keys to his new room for 2nd year this week. He is staying in Halls again as way cheaper and on campus. We took 5 boxes back up to Uni this week to his room. If anyone wants to ask anything re kitchen / room stuff then please ask away!

I’m sure I will have!
I’ve been piling stuff up but I’m sure I’ve forgotten something essential.

Presumably they need a loo brush? Who’d want a hand-me-down (by many) loo brush?! 😳

Dd20 is moving into her second year house share with her uni friends on Monday.

Hoping, really, really, truly hoping that the previous tenants (students) moved out before Sunday... tenancy runs for the full year, so who knows.

So much more to think about for private tenancy. Making sure she's got a decent light bulb for her room... they are never good ones... and mold free shower curtain to take... just in case.
(And lots of loo freshener blocks and harpic, and drain unblocker)

My DD has had her results - not quite what she needed for her firm and after more than 3 weeks she is still waiting for a decision. Her insurance has confirmed her place. She is happy with either but would like to know where she is going 🙄
