Great news 🎉

How is everyone doing with the results looming for the English and Welsh dibbettes? Thursday will soon be here!

Worrying! With Scottish results being stripped back and our press saying the same will be happening here in England on Thursday, we are worried! Our children have been through so much the past couple of years with virtual lessons and not getting to sit their GCSEs - it all feels like our children are being penalised 😞

The results here in France were also down by a grade. Though over here you are offered places based on your predicted grades and then you just have to pass the bac so less pressure. Except if like my DD you need a certain grade for a UK university. At least she is all sorted!

I hope everything works out!

I'm also worried. We have very little past experience to go on. No GCSEs. Mocks were strictly controlled etc. so I genuinely wouldn't be surprised with AAA or CCC. We just have no idea which way it will go.

My eldest did an art foundation year so she had her results before she applied which was much less stressful.

Thankfully we know what grades were submitted for my sons BTEC so the pressure is off, just waiting on his music A level. Although will be pleased when Thursday is here and everything can start moving forward. Good luck to all those who are waiting and hope your DC are not too worried.

Pressure is off her as she got an unconditional offer so she has a bit of certainly for the next step. I’m still in denial that she is going!

My DD’s year are the only year in a 4 year spacing that have had to sit every thing. The two years ahead of her had grades based on their grades throughout the year. The year below her got their brevets (gcses) likewise - there is 3 years between the brevet and the bac. Her year all feel hard done by!

What does your DD need?

Diss his place depend on his music grade? I know he doesn’t have long before he starts!
