Thankfully not as he should have enough points easily from his BTEC ( equivalent of 3 A levels) but would like a good mark. It really does feel like it is coming far too quickly though!

My DD’s year are the only year in a 4 year spacing that have had to sit every thing. The two years ahead of her had grades based on their grades throughout the year. The year below her got their brevets (gcses) likewise - there is 3 years between the brevet and the bac. Her year all feel hard done by!

AAB for Birmingham which is her first choice.

BBB for Newcastle which I think she will be disappointed with. Not because it's a bad uni or course but it's too close to home. But the offer was too good to pass up.


She was predicted AAA but she never got that on her mocks so I just have no idea.

I will be pleased to get the results out of the way. The offers DD ha are high - A*AA for Nottingham & AAB for Liverpool with one A being maths. I have no clue as to whether she will get anywhere near this.

She’s off to Portsmouth to study animation. We are in York so a fair distance, her twin has applied to the navy (but is having issues which her hearing test) so might be down there as well which would be good.

The Nottingham one is very high- but hopefully she will get there. Though Liverpool is meant to be a fab place to study too!

I think they always want a good mark in certain subjects. My DD ignored all her good ones and totally focused on her Grand oral mark. Which was a disaster (unfortunately she got an English teacher with a chip on her shoulder who rolled her eyes and was really aggressive - there are a lot of them unfortunately who don’t like bilingual kids)
