What makes it worse is that I have a degree in Geography! 😅They clearly don’t take after me!

Typhoon Lagoon and Sanaa

I woke up early at 3:30 again today. Don’t know what is wrong with my body clock but it’s well out of whack. Should be sound asleep all night with how busy the days are. On the flip side - jet lag should not be an issue come Friday! 😅

By the time it got to 5 o clock, I gave up trying to sleep because I knew that if I did, we’d never get to Typhoon Lagoon in time for rope drop.

Whilst the others slept, I tidied up a bit and then made breakfast ready for when they awoke. We were out of the door and at Typhoon Lagoon for 9:30!

I wasn’t expecting much of today having read reports of it being rammed but actually it felt really quiet in comparison to both Aquatica and Volcano Bay. I was also worried with it being the weekend. The only thing we had to queue for a long time for was Mayday Falls. All the others were just a five minute wait. We only rode each ride once though because the boys just love that mad wave pool! Even I spent quite a bit of time in it this year. I prefer it near the back where you can swim under the wave rather than get your head bashed by it. We must have spent a good 90 minutes in total riding that wave today. And… on our last go… it got me! I scraped my knee on the floor and now I have a nice little gash!

Floating along the lazy river I noticed a magic band on the floor so I picked it up - only to realise it was DH’s. That was a lucky find! And DS16 lost his glasses in the wave pool - by some miracle he managed to find them. So both were lucky!

DS13 took a couple of photos of the theming on the way out as I didn’t have my phone.

The boy’s bickering has been particularly painful today - even more so than normal and normally, it’s not great. Maybe they’re subconsciously thinking about going home? It was that bad that DH said we weren’t going to Sanaa. I was gutted! I’d put makeup on and a pretty dress. First time I’ve worn make up all holiday!

Anyway, after they’d both been sent to their rooms, they were given a reprieve.

The meal was really nice - it was good to eat something different to burgers and fries! And of course the theming is excellent.

1 x bread service
1 x lamb kofta
2 x pork shank
1 x seafood curry and lentil daal
1 x vegetable curry
2 x cokes
1 x bud light

Came to $200 even with 20% tip.

It was raining when we got home and DS13 slipped on the tiles dashing in from the car and has hurt his hand 🩹🩹✋🏻🩹🩹when he fell. It looks okay for now. 😬 I hope it stays that way as tomorrow is Savi’s Lightsaber and he has waited so patiently for this!

Glad the meal went well and DS’ hand is ok for the day.
I’ve enjoyed your reports so much. Sorry I haven’t commented every time but I’ve read along with you!

Hollywood Studios, Savi’s Lightsaber and Harmonious Fireworks

Wow! What a busy day!
I was so happy to sleep all night and not wake up until 6:30am this morning.

And it’s a good job I slept well because I needed to be fresh for today!

DS16 decided he’d stay at the villa today and I think he made the right decision because the park was super busy and hot today. Interestingly though, it felt rather cool this morning when we first went outside and was overcast.

We arrived at Hollywood studios at about 11:10 and headed down to Rock n Rollercoaster. The wait was 85 minutes! Nope - not doing that! 😅

DS13 was hot already and so we decided to walk through the shops and down to Star Wars Launch Bay

and queued to meet Darth. When I was about 5, I had a nightmare about Darth and I can still remember it to this day. He scares the heck out of me.

DS13 doesn’t look too comfortable either! 😂

We walked via Toy Story land to Galaxy’s Edge to check out wait times in there and they were really long as is expected in there and so didn’t stop to do any rides.
Smugglers run had a wait time of 45 minutes so we queued up and I asked if I could be a pilot. I really wanted to be the pilot! The cast member was lovely and said of course! For some reason this seemed to upset the lady in front of us and I don’t know why because she got to be pilot in her group anyway. 🤷🏼 Being the pilot is definitely the role to get! Ask for it and if you want to pull the lever to jump to light speed, you have to be the pilot on the right.
Photos from the queue.

After I’d successfully navigated the asteroid field, we queued to see Mickey and Minnie which DD13 grumbled at but it was one of the must dos today! You can’t go to Disney World and not have a picture taken with Mickey Mouse!

By this point, we were hungry. DH said he wanted to eat somewhere that we could sit down and so we chose ABC commissary. We put an order in whilst we queued for Star Tours.

It was ready by the time we came out.
It’s really spacious in there and was really quiet. Cast members were really friendly and helpful also.
Now, I know DH took a photo of our mains on his phone and it currently has no power but I’m sure I took a photo of dessert on mine and it’s not there. 🤷🏼 I’ll have to use a stock photo from google.

With a coke and frozen strawberry drink it came to just short of $60.
Really enjoyed our lunch.

Feeling refreshed we headed back to Rock N Rollercoaster. A 50 minute wait was posted so we queued. It was actually 70 minutes in total.

It was nearly time for Savis so we wandered back to Galaxy’s Edge. The lightsaber experience cost $234 which is expensive! But DS13 loved it. He used his own holiday spends and also bought himself a separate kyber crystal so his lightsaber can be red or purple.
I didn’t take many photos in there as I filmed but we had some photos taken after by a photopass cast member.

It was getting late so we headed over to Epcot via the Skyliner. I really do think this is a great addition to the parks. Such an easy and quick way to travel.

When we arrived we headed in to France to check out Remy’s - 95 minutes! 😬
Decided not to bother. DS13 was flagging so we went and sat in the entrance to Impressions of France where it was nice and cool. We didn’t watch the show but just waited until DS13 had cooled off. The day had certainly become a lot warmer than earlier in the day.
Whilst in there, someone told DS13 that his shoe was untied. Now earlier on in our trip, a cast member played a trick on me saying my lace was untied and I was wearing flip flops. Well - DS13 has been playing that joke on us ever since so when this guy told him his shoe was untied - he just thought it was a joke! 😂 His shoe was untied.

Soarin had a 20 minute wait so we sneaked on there before finding a place in world showcase for the fireworks. Photos don’t do it justice but Epcot is beautiful at night.

I really enjoyed Harmonious. I know many people preferred Illuminations but I think Disney do fireworks well and this is no exception.

We headed back the way we came via the skyliner. I was expecting a long wait but the line moved really quick and so we didn’t have to wait long at all.

Got a great photo of Tower of Terror upon our return to Hollywood Studios. Did you know that there are projections at the top that show characters moving?

Feeling very weary - we arrived home to be greeted by this little fella. I did not know that frogs could climb vertical walls.

So that was the end to our super long day! I thought parks would be quieter this week with schools being back but they seemed busier than last week. Lots of English in the parks. I’ve seen my shorts and my t.shirt on different people. 😅

Tomorrow, pool time and Outlet shopping.

I bought today my mum some lovely chocolates which cost $22.99 before
tax to say thank you for looking after the cat. Four weeks - bless her. Think I might need to treat her when I get home!

Photo of the chocolates.
And DH bought a picture.

As a side note - you can see my gel nail in that picture. I think they have lasted really well! Almost four weeks of theme parks and water parks and they are still on my fingers!

6:30 is usually a lie in for me! 😂

The T-shirt is from an online company called EMP. They specialise in clothing and merchandise from pop culture so Disney, Star Wars, Marcel etc. It was reduced in the sale and I think I got it for £14.99. 🤗
