Three fly to Florida...Finally!

Pre trip report

Hi again. For those that haven’t read previous reports we are Sarah(me 55) Adrian (DH 52) Tom (DS 19).

Tom is now taller than me.

This is the trip that was meant to happen in April 2020. We waited until the travel ban had been lifted before starting to book everything again as we didn’t want to keep having to cancel. We were really pleased when the covid testing was also stopped with I think a 90 day review (this will be about 2 weeks before we fly if it happens)

We tend to do everything DIY and this is the price we had for everything this trip

I deleted most of the prices from my 2020 spreadsheet so can’t compare, our flights then were also indirect, but in 2017 our trip cost £4,617

The flight then was more expensive !
We had 5 day magic your way Disney tickets
Car hire was ½ the price and the villa was cheaper but that was 5 years ago.

This will mainly be a report with prices and descriptions of purchases and meals with a few photos thrown in.

We still had our Disney and Kennedy Tickets as credit with Attraction Tickets and just paid the difference to upgrade them to 2022 tickets.

The villa is on the other side of Kissimmee than where we usually stay, so this will be a little different for us. We are staying in Eagle Pointe South. We usually rent villas along the US27 area. The new location will actually be better for the airport as we are flying into Melbourne Airport.

As of today, everything has been paid including the Dartford tolls.


We have not booked an overnight hotel this time so will be leaving the house at around 5.30am. It takes around 1hr 40 mins to get to Gatwick. The flight leaves at 10.50am Gatwick valet parking is booked for 7.30am which will give us 3 hours 20 mins before the flight.

All that remains is to print documents and wait and finally pack (not forgetting my driving licence this time)
