2nd Holiday of a Lifetime -3 weeks of bliss - Day 10

Day 10 - Sat 12/05/07 - Shopping, etc

A gentle day today after being out at Kennedy yesterday. Went up on the I'Trolley to Congo River Golf. $10.45 each and $2.95 to feed the gators. Yes, I know it's a touristy thing, but it was just so funny.

You got 4 small peices of hot dog and you had to put these on the end of a "fishing rod" - well a stick with some string. Lean over the railings, but not too far, and watch them jump up and pull the meat off. Surprisingly large gators in the pool - nice to see them at such close quarters.

Moved on up to Prime for some shopping - stopped off at Subway for lunch (why does this taste better in US?) and a bucket of ice tea from MacDonalds.

Finished off at Friendlys (again) for a chicken salad (with boiled eggs - it's delicious)

So far the holiday has had to be quite gentle since I'm still feeling so rough, but the flu has mainly all gone now, so it'll be time to hit the parks properly - at least we went for 3 weeks, so we still have plenty of time really.

Good news is that SIL, BIL, Nephew & Niece have all landed safely this afternoon - we're looking forward to seeing them tomorrow - last year we were all here at the same time and it's great to meet up for the odd day out at the parks & some supper.
