Contact lens success

Well, I had my second appointment this morning.

I managed to get them in and out three times, so I was allowed to take them home.

So I’ve got 10 pairs to try, 5 of one variant and 5 of another.

I’m excited.

My step mum is not overly thrilled, she thinks I wont take care of them properly but I’m determined to do this right, as well it’s my eyes so I need to do it properly.

Anyways yay. I’ve got 10 days till my next appointment where I have to decide which 9nes I prefer more or if I like neither lol.

I’m totally on a roll with new things. Got my ears pierced just before Christmas and now contact lenses. I have no other new things planned though lol.

Edited at 06:49 PM.

I’ve been wearing contact lenses for over 30 years. As long as you are careful with your hygiene, everything should be ok. The only time I have had any problems have been when I forgot to take them out and slept in them. When this happens, I wear my glasses for a couple,e of days to give my eyes a chance to recover. I use daily disposables, which ones do you think you will have?

Nice! I am going for my trial in two weeks time and looking forward to using them again. How are you finding the disposables?

I miserably failed to get them in today lol, tried like 20 times so I gave up. Gonna try another day and if not just give up. I’ve come to realise I’m not sure I can be bothered with the hassle. I’m tempted to just buy some nice prescription sunglasses lol

I can also feel them when they’re in, not sure whether that’s because my eyes were irritated when I had them in but it’s odd. And I also didn’t have vision as good as glasses as I have astigmatism so might need toric lens.

Not to put you off sorry. I’m finding it not as peachy as I thought I would lol. But it was only the first day on my own.

It’s a struggle at first, I’m sure if you keep practicing, you’ll get there x

When you struggle to put them in try eye drops to moisten your eyes, sometimes it is because they are too dry. Also make sure you don’t shower or swim in them, there are some pretty bad infections can be caused by doing this.

I find it difficult to put them in as my eyes are like nope. I keep closing my eyes or blinking.
