Yes no yes no yes no!
Is it just me that gets like this when it comes to Florida?!
I desperately want to go, we all do - and we are forever saving to go back to our favourite place! Then we finally, after saving for what feels like forever, get the money together and I start worrying that it's the wrong decision and all the "what ifs" start happening! I continuously talk myself in and out of it - am I the only one?! I'm hoping not! |

You must have your reasons for talking yourself out of it…
For us, there is never any question of it, we decide we want to go, we go. |

I'm the opposite, I think we never know what's round the corner so I plan to do as much as I can while I can. I can't wait to go back next year. We are doing New York for a week in Oct half term. It's always somewhere I've wanted to go. Try not to overthink. You'll be so happy when you're over there.

The cost is a big factor as its a lot of money, with everything that's going on at the min with rising costs of living etc it's easy to feel like that. You've saved to go back and with everything that's happened over the last few years it's times with our families that mean the most. Go and have a fantastic time making new memories.

I completely understand OP. It is very expensive and with the cost of living ever increasing it is very difficult to say yes. My family are facing a huge hurdle this year, as my husband may be redundant soon. However I have budgeted and planned so I have decided to go. I have gone yes, no but ultimately this may be our last big holiday for a while.

I think if the cost is seriously a problem then don't go at the moment. Wait until things are a bit less unpredictable and go somewhere else less expensive

We haven't been since 2015. Just two of us this time. We made it clear to our family if they wanted to come then they needed to fund their own trip as they are all adults now.

Up until booking the MVMCP tickets this past week, I’d constantly been doing the Disney Hokey Cokey.
Tbh if I wasn’t ‘trapped’ by the flights I originally booked for Dec21 with only until April 23 to use them, I wouldn’t be going. But now it’s just my youngest son and I- it’ll likely be our last holiday together, certainly to Florida- and I’ve ALWAYS wanted to see Disney at Christmas. It’s been quite an eventful 3 years since we last visited in 2019 to put it mildly, with challenges some never experience in a life time let alone back to back, so I finally decided last week to get a grip on my planning, and focus on all these new hurdles thrown at us by Disney and turn it in to a fantastic holiday. I downscaled one of our resorts (freeing up and ‘giving’ us money we wouldn’t have had) to use on extras like party tickets and lifts to Heathrow now VA don’t fly from ( closer to us) Gatwick. Have you written the pro’s and cons down and discussed it with family? Whatever you decide I wish you all the best. Edited at 07:59 AM. |
