When people ask about where we are going on our holidays I say 'we're off to Florida again because we love it so much' in my experience their response is usually not negative or judgemental as you'd have to be a pretty ballsy person to say to my face why? When I've literally just told them it's cos we love it. Tends to make for a more pleasant conversation.

I get this comment a lot from my gran. Between my Disney holidays, and my collection of Marvel things and Funko POPs, I constantly get asked when I’m going to grow up. My answer is always never!

You can, and she has, but she likes what she likes for a reason, just like us with Disney but can't see the correlation and also we would never ask her why she doesn't save her money or try something different.

People always assume we are rich because we own the Villa. I absolutely fall over myself explaining we rent it out it isn't a second home.

A few years ago we did a New England road trip and quite a few of my friends and colleagues just assumed we were going to WDW. "Not long until Mickey ..." I stopped correcting them after a while.


ETA I've just remembered something my son said when he was 15. I asked him if his friends teased him for going to WDW and he said, "If they've never been to WDW I tell them I'm going to Florida. If they have been to WDW I tell them that I'm going to WDW because they understand!"
