I've had a Dyson fan for probably close to 2 years now. I live somewhere really hot so it gets used daily (basically it's in use whenever the air conditioner isn't on).

So far so good, I like that it takes up less space than my old fan. I also don't notice the background hum of the fan as much, which is good. It's not super powerful but good enough for me in 25-30˚C weather. Basically I use it to reduce the amount of time I need the air conditioner on and this is doing a better job than my previous "normal" fan as I don't turn on the air conditioner as much as I used to.

It is expensive though!

DD have a couple and they are quiet but don’t seem any cooler than normal fans. Their apartment gets full sun all day which is good in winter but not in summer. They had a full air con system fitted a couple of years ago so not a problem now.

We have a few Dyson fans. They are quieter than normal fans and do a good job, I wouldn’t rave over them though.

I love ours, it’s been a godsend for my hot flushes overnight. I sleep so much better than I did without it. It’s very quiet and doesn’t keep us awake. I came home from work one day and my dh had just gone and bought it for me as I was struggling so much, but yes, they are pricey.
