Ottoman Bed recommendations

Does anyone have an ottoman bed and would you recommend having one?

We need extra storage and this seems like the ideal solution, but I am worried about build quality. We would need a Kingsize bed.

We have a kngsize ottoman, we keep all the spare duvets and pillows under it, it's great. I find it a tad heavy to lift up ,but I'm not very strong. But yes I would recommend one, ours is now 5 years old and has been dismantled twice ( new carpet, and house move) and it's still rock solid

That’s good to hear, it’s mainly duvets and bedding that we want to store. Do you remember which brand your bed is?

I bought one for my daughter from divan base direct.

It's very good.

We also have one from Argos and the quality is totally different. Argos one just has a sheet on the floor of the storage area. The divanbase one is solid wood.

We have a Hypnos hideaway.
We have huge plastic storage boxes in it, holdalls, suitcases etc are under it also. You access it from the side so no lifting/struts.
Best thing ever unlike your ottoman in the guest room which is a PITA.

Yes, we have a superking sized one. The one we've just got rid of lasted a good few years, but can't honestly remember where we bought it from.
The one we've just gotten now is so much stronger than the last one. It's a Highgrove Ottoman divan base.
I love the storage underneath the ottoman bases.

We're going to look at some before buying, unfortunately most things are online only now.

We have just bought one from John Lewis, it doesn’t have the wood base just a sheet to go on the bottom but I quite like the idea that it’s resting on the floor. It was their Anyday range and I’m really pleased with it so far.

All our beds are now Ottomans as we love them due to the additional storage and have-2 doubles and one single. They were all purchased locally through Grove Bedding.
